Boyfriend Material

Finding another’s “flow” isn’t as easy as most of us would like it to be.  The “ride for you” attitude seems to be one of the harder keys to grip these days.  The guys who take the extra step to remind us what being a “gentleman” really is aren’t always around to show us stand up.  Settling down and keeping the fire going is something that can be done in a pair of battered boots, sequin jacket, no shirt, a flannel, or some other extreme from some high end designer.

Remembering that these are the men that get brought back to mom.  Acceptance doesn’t always come, but till then here are some boys that can inspire a fire that can burn for just you till it’s time to bring the boyfriend back to mom.

Cool

Calm, collected, cool.

Seems that these boys are the ones who are always doing just fine.  The style that comes from something so basic, yet sparks something so inspiring.  With nothing more exciting than a denim jacket or old band shirt.  These boys seem to have what it takes to drift through the always changing scenery.

The classic Cool.  My own personal taste on this subject brings me the “bad” boys, the “tough” boys, the “wandering” boys. Basic, to the point, and not so complicated. Leaning never looked so good.

MAN-ic Monday

Once again the week begins, and as most of you pull yourselves from the comfortability of your warm and cozy weekend.  My Manic Monday is now dedicated to those of us who go to the extremes to express their self image.  Taking the “fashion is art” aesthetic to new heights.  Being bold… From Jeremy Scott, Joyrich, Adeen NYC to the werking man AB Soto… Mondays are just another day for an expression to be more than just a simple nod.

Bold colors, bold statements, prints, all flowing on a cohesive canvass.  It’s nice to step out of the neutral surroundings and get caught up in something more than the black and white of the ordinary page.  Snaps for the boys who conquer much more than self confidence…

“Scars”

While trying to figure out what exactly would be best for the beginning of this new venture I’ve decided to go in a direction of something a bit broken in hopes of something more pleasant to come.  Perhaps the beauty behind this editorial from Dust Magazine is in it’s simplicity to show more than just a “suitable fashion” look on reality.  In beginning to venture on something new, it’s important to remember the “scars” that have brought us here.
